1. About this policy
Pura Link Pty Ltd (ABN 19 670 957 730), which operates under the Puralink brand (Puralink, we, us or our), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in connection with our website, products and services, customer and supplier relationships, recruitment and other business activities.
We aim to manage personal information consistently with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) where they apply to us. If another applicable law gives an individual additional privacy rights, we will comply with that law to the extent required.
Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether or not the information is true and whether or not it is recorded in a material form.
2. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Puralink, we may collect and hold:
Business and contact information. Your name, organisation, job title, business address, email address, telephone number and other professional contact details.
Account and transaction information. Account identifiers, demo or waitlist details, quotes, orders, subscriptions, billing information and records relating to products or services supplied to or requested by you or your organisation.
Communications. Emails, enquiries, meeting records, customer support interactions, feedback, survey responses and complaint information.
Website and device information. Information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, and cookie or similar technology identifiers where those details are personal information.
Product and service usage information. User or account identifiers, activity information, diagnostics, technical logs and support data associated with use of Puralink products, software or cloud services where those details relate to an identifiable individual.
Recruitment and workforce information. Information provided in applications or during recruitment and engagement, such as resumes, employment history, qualifications, references and information needed to assess eligibility or administer an employment or contractor relationship.
We do not generally seek to collect sensitive information. If we need sensitive information for a particular purpose, we will collect and handle it only where reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law.
3. Inspection, robotics and infrastructure data
Puralink robots and related software may generate or receive pipe inspection footage or imagery, LiDAR and spatial data, mapping information, robot telemetry, defect observations, technical logs and associated metadata. This information generally concerns pipe or infrastructure assets rather than individuals and will usually not be personal information.
If inspection data or associated metadata contains information about an identified or reasonably identifiable individual, we handle that personal information in accordance with this policy. Operational data may be transmitted to and stored in cloud systems as part of providing and supporting Puralink products and services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to data that is not personal information, including properly de-identified information. Nothing in this Privacy Policy changes any contractual rights or obligations applying to customer, inspection or operational data.
4. How we collect personal information
Directly from you. Including through website forms, waitlists, demo bookings, emails, meetings, contracts, account set-up, customer support, events and recruitment processes.
Website forms. When you submit a form on our website, including a Design Partner, waitlist, demo or subscription form, we may collect your name, organisation, email address and any other information you provide. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, manage your request or participation, and, where applicable, send you updates. We may disclose this information to service providers that support our website, communications and business operations, including overseas recipients as described in section 7. If you do not provide the requested information, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or process your request.
From your organisation or other third parties. Including customers, suppliers, partners, referees, professional advisers and other people who introduce or work with you, where appropriate.
From public sources. Such as company websites, professional networking services and public business registers, where appropriate for our business activities.
Automatically. Through website, product and service logs, cookies or similar technologies, and analytics or security tools used in operating our digital services.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to make individuals aware of relevant circumstances when we collect personal information from another source.
5. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information
We may handle personal information for purposes including to:
Provide products and services. Operate, deliver, configure, maintain and support our robotics, software and related services.
Manage business relationships. Communicate with customers, suppliers, partners and other business contacts; administer accounts, contracts, orders and billing; and provide customer support.
Respond to interest in Puralink. Handle enquiries, demo requests, waitlists, pre-orders and other requests.
Improve our products and operations. Analyse performance, reliability, safety and usage; troubleshoot issues; conduct research and product development; and improve our systems and services.
Communicate and market. Provide product, company and event updates, and other marketing communications where permitted by law.
Recruit and manage people. Assess candidates and administer employment and contractor relationships.
Protect Puralink and comply with obligations. Maintain security, prevent misuse or fraud, establish or defend legal rights, comply with contracts and meet legal, regulatory, insurance and governance requirements.
Where inspection or operational data is used for analytics, research or product improvement, we seek to use information that is not personal information or is appropriately de-identified where reasonably practicable. Any personal information is used or disclosed only as permitted by applicable law and relevant contractual arrangements.
6. Who we disclose personal information to
Where appropriate for the purposes above, we may disclose personal information to:
Related entities. Puralink related bodies corporate and personnel who need the information for legitimate business purposes.
Service providers. Providers of cloud hosting, website hosting, email and collaboration tools, customer relationship management, analytics, accounting or payment services, IT and cybersecurity, recruitment, logistics and other operational support.
Professional advisers and insurers. Including lawyers, accountants, auditors, consultants, financiers and insurers where reasonably necessary.
Customers, suppliers and partners. Where disclosure is reasonably necessary to manage a project, deployment, service, introduction or business relationship.
Authorities and other recipients required by law. Including regulators, government agencies, courts, law enforcement or other persons where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Corporate transaction recipients. Parties and advisers involved in a proposed or completed financing, investment, merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
7. Overseas disclosures
Our primary cloud hosting uses the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Asia Pacific (Sydney) Region (ap-southeast-2) in Australia. Other service providers or business counterparties may operate outside Australia. Based on our current practices, overseas recipients are likely to be located in the United States and may also be located in the United Kingdom, as well as in countries in which a relevant customer, supplier or partner is located. Where required by law, we take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures and update this policy as our established practices change.
8. Website technologies and direct marketing
Our website and digital services may use cookies, logs and similar technologies for functionality, security, analytics and performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some technologies may affect website functionality.
We may use business contact details to send product, company or event updates where permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe facility in a message or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing communications that are reasonably necessary to administer an account, order, contract or service.
9. Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures, appropriate to our circumstances, to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, appropriate cloud and IT security controls, staff and contractor procedures, and security monitoring and incident response processes.
We retain personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes for which it was collected or for another permitted purpose, including to meet legal, contractual, tax, insurance or record-keeping obligations. When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or ensure that it is de-identified, subject to applicable law.
We maintain processes for responding to suspected data breaches. Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme or another notification law applies, we will assess and make notifications as required.
10. Accessing or correcting your personal information
You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or to ask us to correct information that you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request. Access or correction may be refused or limited where permitted by law; if so, we will provide any explanation required by applicable law.

We will consider the matter and respond within a reasonable period. Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue.
If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies to the matter, you may be able to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, technology or legal obligations. The current version will be published with its last-updated date.
